Weekly Activity Report for October 1 to October 7, 2006

CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one armed robbery, three vehicle burglaries, one felonious assault and one grand theft (auto).

October 2

Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - A 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen from the 6700 block of Los Verdes Drive.

October 4

Vehicle Burglary - A victim reported that between October 1st and 4th, person(s) unknown stole several items from his locked vehicle in the garage of a complex in the 5900 block of Peacock Ridge Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

Armed Robbery (daytime) - Two male suspects, one armed with a handgun, stole laptops computers, U.S. currency and several other items after tying a male victim to a chair at his home in the 1700 block of Huntsman Court. The suspects fled in a in a gray car.

October 5

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown damaged a door lock and stole numerous tools from a vehicle in the garage of a complex in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.

October 6

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown damaged a door lock and stole numerous tools from a vehicle in the garage of a complex in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.

October 7

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect climbed up to the balcony and entered a second floor apartment in the 28100 block of Highridge Road. The resident surprised the suspect and the suspect struck the victim on the head with a pan. The suspect fled using the balcony.
