Weekly Activity Report for October 22 to October 28, 2006

CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included six residential burglaries, two vehicle burglaries, one grand theft and two acts of vandalism.

October 22

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a laptop computer from a locked vehicle in the garage of a complex in the 28100 block of Highridge Road.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a car stereo from a locked vehicle in the garage of a complex in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

October 24

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown removed a window screen and stole a safe from a home in the 32500 block of Seacliff Drive.

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between October 22nd and 24th, person(s) unknown removed louvered window panes and entered a home in the 2000 block of Chandeleur Drive. It was unknown at the time of this report whether anything was taken.

October 25

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between October 18th and 25th, person(s) unknown stole jewelry from her home in the 30000 block of Avenida Tranquila. There was no sign of forced entry.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - A male suspect entered a home in the 6900 block of Willowtree Drive. The suspect exited just prior to the resident returned. There was no sign of forced entry and it was unknown at the time of this report whether anything was taken.

October 27

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried a window open and stole U.S. currency and a laptop computer from a home in the 5200 block of Middlecrest Drive.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown forced a door open and stole a laptop computer and jewelry from a home on Albero Court.

October 28

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a dirt bike from the parking area of a complex in the 29600 block of Western Avenue.
