CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one school burglary, one attempt grand theft (auto), three grand thefts, three petty thefts, one mail theft, two acts of arson and three acts of vandalism.

December 3

Arson (early morning) - Person(s) unknown lit a firework inside of mailbox and caused a fire at a home in the 6900 block Starstone Drive.

Arson (early morning) - Person(s) unknown set several wooden posts on fire in a parking lot in the 31500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West.

December 4

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole several items from an unattended backpack in the locker room of a school in the 29300 block of Palos Verdes Drive East.

December 6

Attempt Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried a door open and damaged an ignition in an attempt to steal a 2002 Saturn from the 1600 block of Toscanini Drive. Several items were stolen from the car.

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between November 30th and December 5th, person(s) unknown stole a cement mixer from the yard of a home on Narcissa Drive.

School Burglary (daytime) - Two female subjects were detained after stealing several items from the locker room of a school in the 29300 block of Palos Verdes Drive East.

December 8

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between December 2004 and December 2006, a male suspect, known by the victim, stole several weapons and U.S. coins from his home in the 3300 block of Deluna Drive.
