CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported during this time period in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one strong-arm robbery, three residential burglaries, three vehicle burglaries, four other structure burglaries, two grand thefts (auto), three grand thefts, eight petty thefts and one act of vandalism.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a basketball from a locked car in the 32700 block of Seagate Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - A 1995 Cadillac STS was stolen from the 100 block of Spindrift Drive.
Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown damaged an ignition in an attempt to steal car in the parking area of a complex in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive. There was no sign of forced entry into the garage or the car and several items were stolen from inside the car.

Other Structure Burglary - A victim reported that between December 5th and
11th, person(s) unknown stole a welder and several power tools from an unsecured storage shed on Narcissa Drive.
Grand Theft - A victim reported that on December 7th, person(s) unknown stole jewelry from her home on Cayuse Lane. There was no sign of forced entry.
Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a snowboard and bindings from the driveway of a home in the 26900 block of Basswood Avenue.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a woman's purse and a cellular phone from a locked vehicle in the 2100 block of Van Karajan Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - A 2005 Toyota Tundra was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 1900 block of Caddington Drive.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown reached in a partially open window, unlocked the door and stole several items from a vehicle in the 2100 block of Mendon Drive.

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a 2-way radio from a locked car in the parking area of a complex in the 3200 block of La Rotunda Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
December 14
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown damaged a screen, forced a window open and stole jewelry from a home in the 28700 block of Crestridge Drive.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried a sliding glass door open and stole jewelry and computer equipment from a home in the 27700 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.
December 15
Strong-arm Robbery (morning) - A male suspect, known by the victim, took U.S. currency from the female victim's purse at a home in the 30700 block of Via La Cresta. The suspect used physical force in his effort to leave the house. The suspect was arrested in Torrance a short time later.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried several mailboxes open in the lobby of a condominium complex in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a laptop computer from an unlocked car in the driveway of a home in the 6600 block of Channelview Court.
