NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT The City of Rancho Palos Verdes has received an application for the following project:

SITE PLAN REVIEW (CASE NO. ZON2007-00173): A request to construct a new 228 square foot addition to the front of the existing single-story residence, a 78 square foot addition to the east side of the residence and a 678 square foot addition to the rear of the residence. With the additions the residence will reach a height of 14’-0”, as measured from the highest elevation where the structure meets grade to the top of the highest ridgeline, and 14’-6”, as measured from the lowest finished grade adjacent to the foundation/slab to the top of the highest ridgeline.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code (RPVMC), no public hearing is required for this project.  However, Section 17.02.030.B of the RPVMC requires a finding of “Neighborhood Compatibility” for the construction of an addition to an existing single-family residence that exceeds 750 square feet.

If you should have any concerns regarding this request, please communicate them in writing to the City Staff within fifteen (15) days of the date of this notice, by August 16, 2007. By doing so, you will ensure that your comments are taken into consideration when a decision is made on the proposed project. 

The subject Site Plan Review application request requires review by the Director of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement.  All interested parties are invited to submit written comments to the Department for consideration by the Director. Only those who have submitted written comments prior to the end of the notification period (August 16, 2007) will receive notification of the decision. The Director’s decision may then be appealed, in writing, to the Planning Commission.
