Requested Action: Modify an existing dutch roof to a gable roof so that the top ridge of the proposed gable roof will not exceed the height of the existing highest ridgeline, which is at a height of 22’-6", as measured from the adjacent grade covered by structure. Recommendation: Approve Site Plan Review No. 9111 via Minute Order. RECESS/COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE (regarding non-agenda items) at APPROXIMATELY 8:30 P.M.: PUBLIC HEARINGS: Requested Action: Modify Condition No. R3 of Resolution No. 92-27 to allow the main roof ridgelines of the proposed 16-foot-tall, single-story residence on Lot 33 of Tract No. 46628 (Oceanfront) to be less than perpendicular to Palos Verdes Drive West. Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2001-__, denying Conditional Use Permit No. 158-Revision ‘D’ and Coastal Permit No. 94-Revision ‘B’ with prejudice Requested Action: Amend Section 17.46.080 of the Rancho Palos Verdes Development Code to give the City Council the discretion to review large domestic animal nonconformity statements and determine the number of large domestic animals to be "grandfathered" in cases where the number of large domestic animals present on a property on February 1, 1997 is disputed or cannot be determined with certainty. Recommendation: Review Code Amendment No. 49 and forward a recommendation of approval to the City Council, via Minute Order. CONTINUED BUSINESS: Requested Action: Approve Coastal Permit No. 166, Conditional Use Permit No. 215, Grading Permit No. 2229, Conditional Use Permit No. 216, Tentative Parcel Map No. 26703, Grading Permit No. 2230 and General Plan Amendment No. 28 for the Long Point Resort. Recommendation:Staff recommends that the Planning Commission review and discuss: 1) The feasibility of using City property for the proposed project; 2) The preliminary findings for Grading Permit No. 2229 and Tentative Parcel Map No. 26073 for the Long Point Property (RHA); and, 3) The preliminary findings for Grading Permit No. 2230 for the Upper Pointe Vicente property (UPVA); and continue the public hearing for the proposed project to July 24, 2001.
