4.REFRESHER TALK REGARDING THE LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF CONDUCTING COMMISSIONER SITE VISITS: Citywide / (CL/JR)

Request: Receive a refresher course from the City Attorney regarding the legal responsibilities of conducting Commissioner site visits.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission receive a presentation from the City Attorney regarding the legal responsibilities of conducting Commissioner site visits.

5.INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: Citywide / (KF)

Request: Receive and file the Staff report regarding the establishment of requirements for insurance and indemnification of third parties as a condition of project approval, and provide further direction to Staff as deemed appropriate.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission continue the discussion of this issue to the joint City Council/Planning Commission workshop, to be held on February 8, 2003.

6.VIEW RESTORATION ORIENTATION - PROCEDURES AND INFORMATION MATERIALS: Citywide / (JR/TN/CITY ATTORNEY)

Request: That the Planning Commission receive and file the information presented by Staff and the City Attorney.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission review orientation materials and identify any issues or questions during the orientation session.

7.COMMERCIAL ANTENNAS — APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Citywide / (KF)

Request: Receive and file the Staff report regarding the current procedures on how antenna applications are handled by the City, including what type of drawings and photo simulations are required.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission receive and file the Staff report regarding the review procedures and application requirements for commercial antenna applications, and provide further direction to Staff as deemed appropriate.

8.PROPOSED CODE AMENDMENT — WALL HEIGHT: Citywide / (GP)

Request: That the Planning Commission determine whether to initiate a Development Code Amendment pertaining to how the separation between fences, walls and hedges shall be measured.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission determine whether to initiate a Development Code Amendment to change or clarify how the separation between fences, walls and hedges shall be measured.

Request: Receive and file the Staff report regarding when agenda packets are distributed to the Planning Commission

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission receive and file this report.
