1A. P.C. RESOLUTION NO. 2005-

Request: A request to install a total of ten, 4'-6" high pilasters with wrought iron fencing in between, in the median of the frontage road of Palos Verdes Drive South at Schooner. The new pilasters and wrought iron fencing are proposed to extend 100-feet from the existing pilasters, on either side of Schooner.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2005-__, conditionally approving Case No. ZON2005-00095 for an Encroachment Permit.

2. GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY FINDING: CITY (GP)

Request: A request to find that the City's acceptance of the "Additional Non-Golf Setback" areas within the boundaries of the Trump National Golf Course will be consistent with the City's General Plan.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt PC Resolution No. 2005-__, finding that the City's acceptance of the "Additional Non-Golf Setback" areas at the Trump National Golf Course is consistent with the General Plan.

Request: A request to trim and/or remove foliage located at 2417 Sparta Road, in order to restore the view from 2652 Colt Road.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2005-___, approving VRP No. 184 to trim and/or remove foliage on the property located at 2417 Sparta Road, in order to restore the applicant’s view from 2652 Colt Road.

4. VARIANCE, HEIGHT VARIATION AND GRADING PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2004-00451): 48 Rockinghorse Drive/Holguin (ES)

4A Staff Report -CASE NO. ZON2004-00451(VARIANCE, HEIGHT VARIATION & GRADING PERMIT)

4B P.C. RESOLUTION NO. 2

Request: A request to construct a new 4,485 square foot, two-story split-level single-family residence with attached garage on a vacant property. A total of 150 cubic yards of overall grading will be conducted to accommodate the new residence. Lastly, the variance is for the proposed construction over an extreme slope, which is prohibited by the City’s Development Code, and is for the resulting height of the building proposed at 30-feet, where the Development Code restricts height to 26-feet

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2005-__, conditionally approving Case No. ZON2004-00451, for a Variance, Height Variation and Grading Permit.

5. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2004-00320): 30940 Hawthorne Blvd./California Water Service (DB)

Request: A request to install a whip antenna mounted to the two-story City Hall building. The requested antenna is proposed to extend 8’ higher than the existing building.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt PC Resolution No. 2005-__; thereby approving, with conditions, the conditional use permit.

8. 3 MONTH REVIEW OF LIGHTING (CASE NO. ZON2003-00205): 5842 Crestridge Road / Church of Latter Day Saints (ES)

Request: A request to conduct a three (3) month review of Case No. ZON2003-00205, a revision to Conditional Use Permit No. 128, which allowed the modification of five light standards and five new light standards measuring up to 15-feet high in the parking lot area at the Church of Jesus Christ LDS.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission approve the three (3) month review, via Minute Order.

9. REVISION TO HEIGHT VARIATION (CASE NO.ZON2005-00108): 5416 Littlebow/ Sun (DB)

9A P.C. RESOLUTION NO. 2005-_

Request: A request to modify the conditions of approval of an approved Height Variation, to allow a translucent glass window on the south wall of the bedroom on the southeast corner of the second floor, instead of a clerestory window.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2005-___; thereby approving the revision to the conditions of approval for a Height Variation (Case No. ZON2005-00108).

10. HEIGHT VARIATION (ZON2005-00060): 29605 Grandpoint / Balogh (DB)

Request: A request to construct a 1,120 square foot second story addition to an existing 4,338 square foot residence.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2005-___; thereby approving, with conditions, the Height Variation (Case No. ZON2005-00060)

11. VIEW RESTORATION PERMIT NO. 145: 28016 Calzada Drive/Martz (JA)

Request: A request to consider additional trimming of foliage located at 28115 Montereina Drive based on the review of the post-trimming view taken from 28016 Calzada Drive.

Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission require no further foliage trimming with regards to this permit.
