GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY FINDING (CASE NO. ZON2007-00034): 30950 Hawthorne Boulevard / County of Los Angeles (KF) Action Deadline: February 26, 2007 Request: A request for a finding of consistency with the Rancho Palos Verdes General Plan for a 3-year renewal of the County’s license with the U.S. Coast Guard for the use of the existing communications bunker and antennae at Point Vicente Park and Civic Center. Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2007-__, finding the license renewal consistent with the General Plan (Case No. ZON2007-00034). CONTINUED BUSINESS: Request: A request to amend Section 17.46.040(A) of Title 17 (Zoning), establishing development standards to preserve future horsekeeping opportunities on properties over 15,000 square feet in size in the City’s Equestrian Overlay (Q) Districts. (This item was continued from the November 28, 2006 Planning Commission meeting) Action Deadline: None Recommendation: Provide input to further Staff regarding the additional possible revisions to the proposed code amendment, and continue this matter to a future date certain for adoption of a final version of the code amendment. PUBLIC HEARINGS: 3. HEIGHT VARIATION PERMIT AND SITE PLAN REVIEW (CASE NO. ZON2006-00447): 6774 Verde Ridge Road / Loera Designs (SK) Request: A request to construct a 292 square foot addition above the existing garage and a 489 square foot, single-story addition in the rear and side yard of the residence. Action Deadline: May 9, 2007 Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2007-__; thereby approving the Height Variation and Site Plan Review (Case No. ZON2006-00447). 4. APPEAL OF SITE PLAN REVIEW (CASE NO. ZON2006-00289): 6826 Verde Ridge Road / Florentino (SK) Request: A request to overturn the Director’s approval of a Site Plan Review application to allow the demolition of an existing 530 square foot trellis in the rear yard and construct a new 530 square foot balcony in its place. Action Deadline: None Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2007-__; thereby denying the appeal and upholding the Director’s approval of the Site Plan Review (Case No. ZON2006-00289). 5. TRACT MAP AMENDMENT AND GRADING PERMIT (CASE NOS. SUB2006-00003 & ZON2005-00597): 30375 Diamonte Lane / Oliveri (KF) Request: A request for approval of a modification to the Restricted Use Area of Lot 1 of Tract Map No. 32322 to allow 627 cubic yards of grading for the construction of a 5,397-square-foot 2-story single-family residence on an upslope lot. Action Deadline: February 18, 2007 Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2007-__, recommending City Council approval of the requested tract map amendment (Case No. SUB2006-00003); and conditional approval of the requested grading permit (Case No. ZON2005-00597). 6. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2006-00627): 28637 Crenshaw Boulevard / Metro PCS (KF) Request: A request to allow the installation of a 12-foot-tall, 230-square-foot wireless telecom-munications equipment enclosure at Southern California Edison’s Crest Substation. No commercial antennae will be installed on the project site, but the equipment to be placed in the proposed enclosure will support commercial antennae to be placed at various locations in the City’s public rights-of-way in the future. The review of applications for specific antenna installations in the City’s public rights-of-way will be processed through the City’s Public Works Department. Action Deadline: February 20, 2007 Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2007__, conditionally approving the requested conditional use permit (Case No. ZON2006-00627).
