1. CUP REVISION (CASE NO. ZON2013-00111): 28041 HAWTHORNE BLVD. – SPRINT PCS (SK)
   To review the staff report click here

Request: Allow Sprint PCS to remove 6 existing antennas and install 3 new antennas within a new 5.67’ tall, 78ft² decorative encasement on the east end of the roof of an existing commercial building located at 28041 Hawthorne Blvd.

Action Deadline: April 23, 2014

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2014-__; thereby, conditionally approving a Conditional Use Permit revision (Case No. ZON2013-00111).

2. GOLDEN COVE CENTER MASTER SIGN PROGRAM REVIEW – (CASE NO. ZON2010-00104): 31244 PALOS VERDES DRIVE WEST (LM)
   To review the staff report click here

Request: Review of the Golden Cove Master Sign Program and request by the property owner for additional time to provide the City with a modified Master Sign Program.

Action Deadline: None

Recommendation: 1) Continue the review of the Master Sign Program to the May 27, 2014 Planning Commission meeting; and, 2) Determine whether to initiate an amendment to the Golden Cove Center’s Conditional Use Permit and if a majority of the Planning Commission agrees to initiate said amendment, provide specific direction to Staff as to what current conditions of approval are to be considered for amendment.

3. GREEN HILLS ANNUAL REVIEW- (CASE NO. ZON2003-00086): 27501 Western Avenue (Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery) (ES)

Request: Perform an operational review of the Green Hills Memorial Park Master Plan.

Action Deadline: N/A

Recommendation: Review Staff’s recommended additional conditions of approval, provide Staff with direction on any additional conditions, and direct Staff to return with a Resolution for consideration at a future meeting.

4. OUTDOOR LIGHTING - (LM)
   To review the staff report click here

Request: A review of the City’s development standards for outdoor lighting compared to the outdoor lighting code requirements of other cities, and the implementation of said requirements in the built environment.

Action Deadline: None

Recommendation: Direct Staff to petition the City Council to initiate a Code Amendment to improve the City’s existing regulations for exterior lighting, including, but not limited to, specifying that light fixtures are to be fully shielded so the light source is not visible, establishing acceptable color temperatures for exterior lights, imposing restrictions on exterior light emissions based on lumens instead of wattage, and addressing the glare of exterior lights to vehicles on public rights-of-way.

5. GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY FINDING, (CASE NO. ZONE2014-00046): 32639 NANTASKET DRIVE (APN 7573-014-013), IRELAND (ES)

Request: A finding of consistency with the Rancho Palos Verdes General Plan for the vacation of easements traversing vacant property located at 32639 Nantasket Drive (APN 7573-014-013)

Action Deadline: March 10, 2014

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2014-__, finding the City’s vacation of easements traversing 23639 Nantasket Drive (APN 7573-014-013) consistent with the General Plan.
