1. SITE PLAN REVIEW, GRADING AND MINOR EXECEPTION PERMIT (CASE NO ZON2013-00063): 2902 VISTA DEL MAR (SK)
      To review the staff report click here

Request: Construct a new split-story (16’/30’ height envelope), 8,381ft² residence (4,088ft² first floor, 3,319ft² second floor and 974ft² basement), a 948ft² detached garage, a 178ft² detached pool restroom, a swimming pool, 2,020yd³ of related grading, construction of combination walls, retaining walls and an entry gate. The entry gate along the front property line requires a minor exception permit since it exceeds the Code allowed maximum of 3’-6” and is proposed at 6’ in height.

Action Deadline: July 18, 2014

Recommendation: Continue the public hearing to April 22, 2014, to provide the applicant additional time to address grading discrepancies raised by Staff related to the proposed revision.

2. HEIGHT VARIATION AND SITE PLAN REVIEW PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2013-00510): 29926 AVENIDA ANILLO (LM)
      To review the staff report click here

Request: A request to construct a new 1,160 square foot first floor addition and 1,344 square foot second floor addition to the existing residence. The project also includes a new 295 square foot second floor balcony at the front of the residence and a 60 square foot balcony at the rear of the residence. The proposed additions to the main residence would result in a structure that reaches a maximum height of 26’-0” as measured from the lowest finished grade adjacent to the structure (elev. 204.70’) to the top of the highest ridgeline (elev. 230.70’).

Action Deadline: July 24, 2014

Recommendation: Continue the public hearing to June 24, 2014, to provide the applicant with additional time to redesign the project to address concerns relayed by Staff and the neighbors.

3. HALONA POINT CONSULTANTS - CUP REVISION (CASE NO. ZON2013-00476): 30940 HAWTHORNE BLVD (SK)
      To review the staff report click here

Request: Allow AT&T to install two 6’-wide microwave dish antennas on the existing 80’ tall monopole and related equipment within an existing equipment shelter on the City Hall property. Each microwave dish antenna is proposed to be installed below the two existing antenna arrays on the monopole.

Action Deadline: June 8, 2014

Recommendation: Affirm Staff’s aesthetic concerns with the proposed microwave dish antennas and continue the public hearing to a date certain to allow the applicant to explore alternative antennas or locations to meet their coverage needs.
