RECESS/COMMENTS FROM THE AUDIENCE ( regarding non-agenda items) at APPROXIMATELY 8:30 P.M.: CONTINUED BUSINESS: (NO ITEMS) PUBLIC HEARINGS: 2. VARIANCE NO. 457, GRADING PERMIT NO. 2137 and SITE PLAN REVIEW NO. 8693; Dr. Ghadak-Saz (Applicant) 3281 Crownview Drive (LL). Requested Action: Allow demolition of the existing 5,806 square foot residence, and grade a total of 944 cubic yards of earth for the construction of a new 7,767 square foot two-story downslope residence with a three-car garage. The applicant request to reduce the required 250" turning radius to a 160" turning radius at the driveway area, and install a 50" high plexi-glass swimming pool wall within the front yard area which exceeds the maximum height limit of 42". Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2000-____, approving Variance No. 457, Grading Permit No. 2137, and Site Plan Review No. 8693. AT THIS POINT IN THE MEETING, THE TRAFFIC COMMITTEE WILL JOIN THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR A JOINT HEARING ON THE FOLLOWING ITEM.
SCOPING; Destination Development Corporation, (applicant), 6610 Palos Verdes Drive South and 30940 Hawthorne Boulevard. (DS) Requested Action: Allow a forum for agencies and members of the community to comment on the environmental issues that will be addressed in the Environmental Impact Report for the pending Long Point Resort project which consists of Coastal Permit No. 166, Conditional Use Permit No. 215, Parcel Map No. 26073 and Grading Permit No. 2229 for the Long Point site at 6610 Palos Verdes Drive South; and Conditional Use Permit No. 216, Grading Permit No. 2230 and a General Plan Amendment for the Upper Point Vicente property at 30940 Hawthorne Blvd. Recommendation: Open the Public Hearing and receive public comments regarding environmental issues to be addressed in the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Long Point project. Additionally, staff requests Planning Commission and Traffic Committee input on the environmental issues to be analyzed. NEW BUSINESS: (NO ITEMS)
