ZON2004-00265): City (DB) Request: A request to amend the Development Code to regulate the use of cargo containers. (This item was continued from the September 14, 2004, November 9, 2004, January 11, 2005, February 8, 2005 and April 12, 2005 Planning Commission meetings). Action Deadline: None Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission continue the public hearing until the Planning Commission meeting on July 12, 2005 RECESS (approximately 8:30 P.M.) PUBLIC HEARINGS: 2. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT – 3-MONTH REVIEW (CASE NO. ZON2004-00613): 29601 Western Avenue/Rio Carnaval (ES) Request: A three (3) month review of Case No. ZON2004-00613, a Conditional Use Permit that allowed live entertainment, including dance shows and amplified music in conjunction with a Brazilian restaurant. Further, the hearing will also consider revoking the conditional use permit for violations of the Rancho Palos Verdes Municipal Code. Action Deadline: None Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission extend the review period for an additional three (3) months. 3. HEIGHT VARIATION PERMIT (CASE NO.ZON2004-00570): 3154 Deluna Drive/ Edward Carson Beall & Associates (DB) ACTION DEADLINE: July 24, 2005 Request: A request to construct a 1,757 square foot two-story addition to an existing 2,964 square foot residence. With the proposed project, the residence will have a maximum height of 25.92’, as measured from the lowest grade adjacent to the building foundation/slab (79.52’) to the highest ridgeline of the residence (105.44’), and 25.5’, as measured from the highest elevation of existing building pad covered by structure (79.94) to the highest ridgeline of the residence Action Deadline: July 24, 2005 Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Planning Commission adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2005-___; thereby approving, with conditions, the Height Variation and Site Plan Review (Case No. ZON2004-00570). NEW BUSINESS: 4.
