VIEW RESTORATION PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2007-00019): 5335 Rolling Ridge Road / Allman (JA) Attachment: Letter - Addendum to Letter Report dated August 29, 2007 Request: A request to trim and/or remove foliage located at 5333 Rolling Ridge Road, in order to restore the view from 5335 Rolling Ridge Road. Action Deadline: None Recommendation: Continue the public hearing for View Restoration Application No. 2007-00019 to the October 23, 2007 Planning Commission meeting in order to provide ample time for the foliage owner’s arborist to perform core sampling in an attempt to date the age of certain trees and for the City’s arborist, Mr. Dave Hayes, to review and provide a report on those findings (This item was continued from the August 14, 2007 Planning Commission meeting) Attachment: PC RESOLUTION 2007 Action Deadline: None Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2007- __, thereby recommending that the City Council adopt a Negative Declaration and approve the General Plan Amendment, Zone Change, Height Variation and Site Plan Review (Case No. ZON2007-00134). (This item was continued from the August 14, 2007 Planning Commission meeting) PUBLIC HEARINGS: Attachment: PC RESOLUTION 2007 Request: A request to demolish an existing single-story residence, construct a new 3,918ft² two-story residence with a 688ft² attached garage and a new 270ft² cantilevered deck in the rear yard. The proposed structure height is 25.17’, as measured from the point where the lowest foundation or slab meets finished grade, to the ridgeline or highest point of the structure. Action Deadline: October 22, 2007 Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2007-__, thereby denying, with prejudice, the Height Variation, Site Plan Review and Extreme Slope Permit (Case No. ZON2007-00179). NEW BUSINESS: 4. ANNUAL REPORT ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE HOUSING ELEMENT: City (LM) Request: Review the Housing Element Annual Report and provide direction to Staff to forward the City’s Annual Report to the City Council regarding the status of the Housing Element and the progress on its implementation for the 2006 calendar year. Action Deadline: None Recommendation: Direct Staff, via Minute Order, to forward the City’s Annual Report to the City Council regarding the status of the Housing Element and the progress on its implementation during the 2006 Calendar Year.
