Request: A request to construct a 1,307ft² addition to the 1st and 2nd floor of an existing 2-story residence, demolish an existing 648.11ft² gazebo and construct a new 325ft² gazebo as a replacement.

Action Deadline: May 10, 2008
Recommendation: If the Planning Commission agrees that the revised project adequately addresses the Commission’s previous concerns, adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-__; thereby approving the Height Variation and Site Plan Review application (Case No. ZON2006-00563).

Request: A request for after-the-fact approval of a 20-foot-tall, 851-square-foot detached accessory structure exceeding the 12-foot height limit, with a 10½-foot-tall, 272-square-foot attached trellis; a 2½-foot-tall upslope retaining wall with 6 cubic yards of related grading; and 1,640 square feet of additional driveway and parking area, all located in the rear yard of an existing single-family residence.
Action Deadline: August 25, 2008
Recommendation: Continue this matter to an unspecified future date on or before August 25, 2008.
3. APPEAL OF CITY STAFF’S DETERMINATION THAT THE FLS SUMMER PROGRAM VIOLATES CONDITION NO. 9 OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 9 REVISION C: 30800 Palos Verdes Drive East / Marymount College (AM)

Request: A request by the College to overturn City Staff’s determination that the
Summer FLS Program is in violation of the existing Conditional Use Permit.
Action Deadline: None
Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-__ upholding City Staff’s determination that the Summer FLS International Program is in violation of Condition No. 9 of Conditional Use Permit No. 9 Revision ‘C,’ which states that any commercial use of the campus, including sub-leasing, shall require an amendment to the existing Conditional Use Permit.
