            To review the staff report click here

Request: A request to construct a new, 6,507-square-foot 2-story single-family residence and attached second dwelling unit; and to conduct two hundred forty-five cubic yards (245 CY) of related grading. The maximum height of the project is proposed to be 25’-6” from the lowest finished grade covered by the structure and 25’-6” from the highest existing grade covered by the structure.

Action Deadline: November 14, 2008

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-__, thereby denying, without prejudice, the requested Height Variation, Grading Permit and Conditional Use Permit (Case No. ZON2007-00593).

Request: A request to construct a new two story 4,185ft² residence with an attached 468ft² garage on a vacant lot. The proposed building height is 24’-4”, as measured from the point where the lowest foundation or slab meets finished grade, to the ridgeline or highest point of the structure.

Action Deadline: November 16, 2008

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-__; thereby approving, the Height Variation and Site Plan Review (Case No. ZON2007-00472).

3. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, GRADING PERMIT, SIGN PROGRAM & ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (CASE NO. ZON2002-00216): 29941 Hawthorne Boulevard / Chhabria (KF)

Request: A request to construct a new, 7,116-square-foot 1-story office building with twenty-nine (29) parking spaces in a 6,466-square-foot subterranean garage and an adjoining surface parking lot, and 9,943 cubic yards of related grading. The maximum height of the proposed building is 13’-6” from the highest existing grade covered by the structure, and 28’-6” from the point where the lowest foundation meets finished grade.

Action Deadline: January 17, 2009

Recommendation: 1) Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-__, thereby certifying the Mitigated Negative Declaration for the revised project; and, 2) adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-__, thereby conditionally approving the requested Conditional Use Permit, Grading Permit and Sign Program for the 13,582-square-foot 1-story office building, as conceptually approved by the Planning Commission on September 23, 2008.

Request: A request to approve Revision ‘C’ to Conditional Use Permit No. 192 for the installation an emergency back-up generator with a built-in 132-gallon diesel fuel tank for the existing Verizon Wireless monopole at the California Water Service Company maintenance yard.
