1. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REVISION AND VARIANCE (CASE NO. ZON2008-00146): 5801 Crestridge Road / The Canterbury (SK)
            To review the staff report click here

Request: A request to replace existing enclosed parking garages with open, un-enclosed parking spaces; reduce the overall number of parking spaces from 146 to 135 spaces; construct a new entryway, turn-around area and fountain; remodel an existing outdoor dining area to the east of Building E; improve the driveway entrance at Crestridge Road; and construct a new monument sign for identification purposes.

Action Deadline: November 28, 2008

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-___; thereby approving the Conditional Use Permit revision and Variance (CASE NO. ZON2008-00146).

2. ANNUAL REVIEW FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2003-00086): 27501 Western Avenue / Green Hills Memorial Park (ES)
            To review the staff report click here

Request: A request to conduct an annual review of Case No. ZON2003-00086, a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for the Green Hills Cemetery Master Plan that addresses build-out of the cemetery site over the next 30- to 50-years. Amend Conditional Use Permit No. 155 to 1) allow two existing modular buildings to remain adjacent to the parking lot, west of the Administration Building; and, 2) to allow the relocation of an historical church building from San Pedro to the Green Hills Cemetery property.

Action Deadline: December 19, 2008

Recommendation: Receive and file the annual review of the Green Hills Cemetery Master Plan, and adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-__, conditionally approving Revision D to the Green Hills Master Plan.

3. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2007-00243): 30359 Hawthorne Boulevard / Verizon Wireless (SK)

Request: A request to construct a new 29’ high slimline pole to accommodate three flush-mounted, panel antennas. The proposed pole will be constructed on a lawn area, located immediately adjacent to the driveway and north of the parking spaces. The request also includes 67yd³ of excavation on a down slope, behind the aforementioned lawn area, to accommodate a 250ft² area for equipment cabinets.

Action Deadline: February 7, 2009

Recommendation: Continue the public hearing to the adjourned meeting of Thursday, December 11, 2008.

4. VIEW RESTORATION PERMIT (CASE NO. VRP2008-00007): 28715 Doverridge Drive / Ng (AT)

Request: A request to trim and/or remove foliage located at 28814 Leah Circle, in order to restore the view from 28715 Doverridge Drive.

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2008-___, thereby approving VRP No. 2008- 00007 to trim and/or remove foliage on the property located at 28814 Leah Circle in order to restore the Applicant’s view from 28715 Doverridge Drive.
