1. RECONSIDERATION OF HEIGHT VARIATION, GRADING PERMIT & CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2007-00593): 5 Cayuse Lane / Goddard (KF)
            To review the staff report click here

Request: Construct a new, 5,911-square-foot 2-story single-family residence and attached second dwelling unit; and to conduct two hundred forty-five cubic yards (245 CY) of related grading. The maximum height of the project is proposed to be 26’-0” from the lowest finished grade covered by the structure and 26’-0” from the highest existing grade covered by the structure (NOTE: the Planning Commission previously denied a 6,507-square-foot project on this site on October 30, 2008, which was appealed by the applicant on November 10, 2008, and remanded back to the Planning Commission by the City Council on February 3, 2009).

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2009-__, thereby conditionally approving the revised Height Variation, Grading Permit and Conditional Use Permit applications (Case No. ZON2007-00593)

2. VARIANCE (CASE NO. ZON2009-00001): 21 Crestwind Drive / Killen (SK)

Request: Construct a 196ft² addition to the front and a 124ft² addition to the side of an existing two-story residence. The existing residence has a non-conforming front yard setback of 14’-7”, wherein a 20’-0” setback is required. The 196ft² addition is proposed with a front yard setback of 14’-7”, wherein a 20’-0” setback is required.

Action Deadline: May 1, 2009

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2009-__; thereby approving the Variance application (Case No. ZON2009-00001).

3. ZONE CHANGE REQUEST (CASE NO. ZON2009-00053): E. Tract 16540 Portuguese Bend Club / City (LM)
            To review the staff report click here

Request: A request to rezone all properties located within Tract 16540 of the Portuguese Bend Club that are zoned Single-Family Residential (RS-2) or dual zoned Single-Family Residential (RS-2 and RS-5) to one Single-Family Residential zone (RS-5) in order to maintain consistency with the City’s Local Coastal Specific Plan.

Action Deadline: None

Recommendation: Continue the public hearing to the May 12, 2009 meeting to allow adequate time to receive public comments on the proposed Zone Change and Draft Negative Declaration.
