Request: A request to amend the City’s Zoning Code to implement the recommendations of the City’s Residential Development Standards Steering Committee, and other miscellaneous Zoning Code “clean-up” amendments.

Action Deadline: None.

Recommendation: Receive Staff’s report on the proposed schedule for upcoming Staff-recommended “clean-up” and other amendments for future discussion; and continue the public hearing in this matter to December 8, 2009, for the adoption of a resolution recommending that the City Council adopt the recommendations of the Residential Development Standards Steering Committee.

2. GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT, COASTAL SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT, ZONE CHANGE, VESTING TENTATIVE PARCEL MAP, COASTAL PERMIT, VARIANCE, GRADING PERMIT, HEIGHT VARIATION PERMIT & ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT (CASE NOS. SUB2008-00001 & ZON2008-00074): 32639 Nantasket Drive / Ireland (ES)
            To review the staff report click here

Request: Change the Land Use Designations to Single-Family Residential; Change the Zoning to RS-3; Subdivide the existing 1.41-acre parcel into four (4) residential lots with a minimum lot size of 14,000 square feet each; and Conduct approximately 4,028 cubic yards of grading to accommodate the construction of 4 single-family residences.

Recommendation: Adopt PC Resolution No. 2009-__, recommending that the City Council certify the Mitigated Negative Declaration; and, adopt PC Resolution No. 2009-__, recommending that the City Council conditionally approve Case Nos. SUB2008-00001 and ZON2008-00074 thru -00078) for a Land Use Designation change from Commercial to Residential, a Zone Change from CR to RS-3, and associated applications for a four-lot subdivision and residential project.


3. GENERAL PLAN UPDATE – REVIEW OF PROCESS AND INTRODUCTION ELEMENT (CASE NO. ZON2008-00160): (GP)

Request: Discuss the Process for the General Plan Update, and review/comment on the “Draft” Introduction Element.
