1. HEIGHT VARIATION AND MINOR EXCEPTION PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2009-00497): 30939 Rue Valois / Griffin-Haddad (LM)
            To review the staff report click here

Request: A request to demolish the existing 3,305 square foot residence and construct a new 3,567 square foot 2-story residence. The proposed residence measures 26’-0” in height, as measured from the lowest finished grade adjacent to the foundation/slab (elev. 196.11’) to the highest ridgeline of the residence (elev. 222.11’). The applicant is also requesting a Minor Exception Permit to construct a new wall within the front yard, to exceed 42” in height. The wall would measure 3’-6” at the east property line and would increase to a height of 5’-3” at the west property line.

Action Deadline: April 2, 2010

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2010-__; thereby conditionally approving the Height Variation and Minor Exception Permit (Case No. ZON2009-00497)

2. VIEW RESTORATION PERMIT (CASE NO. VRP2009-00017): 28541 Palos Verdes Drive East & 2 Bronco Drive / White & Ghormley (AT)
            To review the staff report click here

Request: A request to trim and/or remove foliage located at 1 Bronco Drive, 13 Cayuse Lane and 28428 Cayuse Lane, in order to restore the view from 28541 Palos Verdes Drive East and 2 Bronco Drive.

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2010-__; thereby approving Case No. VRP2009-00017 to trim and/or remove foliage on properties located at 1 Bronco Drive and 28428 Cayuse Lane in order to restore the Applicants’ views from 2 Bronco Drive and 28541 Palos Verdes Drive East.

3. GENERAL PLAN UPDATE (CASE NO. ZON2008-00160) – CONSERVATION/OPEN SPACE, LAND USE AND HOUSING ELEMENTS: Citywide / City (GP, ES, KF, LM, AH)

Request: A request to 1) review the revised “Draft” General Plan Conservation and Open Space Element as revised by the Planning Commission Sub-committee; 2) hear a presentation on the Staff prepared “Draft” Land Use Element; 3) review and select a preferred option for the

Staff prepared “Draft” Housing Element; and review the “Draft” Schedule and select a new Sub-committee for the Visual Resources Element.

Recommendation: 1) Approve the Sub-committee (Knight, Tetreault, Lewis) recommended “Draft” Conservation and Open Space Element; 2) Receive a presentation by Staff on the “Draft” Land Use Element, and provide general direction to Staff and the Planning Commission Sub-committee (Tomblin, Gerstner, Emenhiser) on proposed revisions; 3) Review and select a preferred format option for the “Draft” Housing Element; and 4) Review and approve the revised “Draft” Schedule along with selecting a Sub-committee for the Visual Resources Element.
