Request: A request to construct a 951 square foot first and second story addition to the existing 4,049 square foot residence (garage included). The overall height of the residence will measure 25’-2” as measured from the highest existing ridgeline (elev. 1381.95’) to the lowest finished grade adjacent to the foundation/slab (elev. 1356.79’). The project also includes 92 cubic yards of associated grading and a 115 square foot deck.

Action Deadline: March 6, 2011

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2011-__; thereby approving a Height Variation and Grading Permit (Case No. ZON2010-00144).

2. HEIGHT VARIATION PERMIT (CASE NO. ZON2010-00416): 26712 Hawkhurst Dr. / Rodrigues (SK)

Request: A request to construct an 867ft² two-story addition to an existing two-story residence. The overall height of the residence will increase from 21’-9” to 23’-6”, as measured from the point where the lowest foundation or slab meets finished grade to the ridgeline of the residence.

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2011-__; thereby approving, with conditions, a Height Variation application (Case No. ZON2010-00144).

3. HEIGHT VARIATION PERMIT, GRADING PERMIT AND SITE PLAN REVIEW (CASE NO. ZON2010-00252): 6480 Palos Verdes Dr. E. / Martin (AH)

Request: A request to demolish an existing 1-story residence and detached guest quarters, and construct a new 6,698 square foot single-family residence and garage, 810 square foot guest quarters and 256 square foot covered pavilion, with 679 cubic yards of total associated grading.

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2011-__; denying, without prejudice, Case No. ZON2010-00252, for a Height Variation, Grading and Site Plan Review Permit.

Request: A request to demolish an existing single-story residence and construct a new 5,088ft² two-story residence (25.5’ in height) with a 1,006ft² attached garage, a 352ft² detached pool house (12’ in height) and a swimming pool. Additionally, 549yd³ of grading with a maximum 4.7’ depth of cut/fill is proposed for the development.

5. HEIGHT VARIATION PERMIT AND SITE PLAN REVIEW (CASE NO. ZON2010-00343): 27921 Palos Verdes Drive East / GA Design (SK)

Request: A request to construct a 1,007.5ft² addition to the first floor and a new 2,031ft² second story addition to an existing single-story residence. The proposed height of the finished residence is 25.88’, as measured from the point where the lowest foundation meets finished grade to the new ridgeline.
