Request: A request to create a new review process for hedges above 42” in height within the front yard setback and to simplify the existing intersection visibility triangle review process.

Recommendation: Discuss and provide direction to Staff on a proposed code amendment to revise Chapters 17.48.070 (Intersection Visibility Triangle) and 17.76.030 (Fences, Walls and Hedges) of Title 17 (Zoning) of the City’s Municipal Code, to 1) amend the review process for Intersection Visibility Triangle applications, and 2) establish a new process to allow hedges above 42” in height within the front yard setback of private residential properties.

2. CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT REVISION (CASE NO. ZON2011-00125): 500 Silver Spur Road / AT&T Mobility (SK)
     To review the staff report click here

Request: A request by AT&T to replace six existing 4’ tall antennas with eight upgraded 8’ tall antennas in the same location on the rooftop of an existing commercial building. As a result of the proposal, the existing parapet screening the existing 4’ tall antennas will be increased by 1.7’ to fully screen the new 8’ tall antennas. The extended parapet will be painted to match the exterior color of the building.

Action Deadline: December 2, 2011

Recommendation: Adopt P.C. Resolution No. 2011-__; thereby approving a Conditional Use Permit Revision (Case No. ZON2011-00125).
