The Code Enforcement Division works to ensure that the provisions of the City’s Municipal Code are followed.  The Division’s actions are driven by complaints, however it is also proactive when significant issues of the City and resident’s general health, safety, and welfare are involved. 

The code enforcement process typically includes the filing of a complaint with the City’s Code Enforcement Division, investigation of the complaint by a Code Enforcement Officer, and notification to the property owner to correct any violation that exists. The Division’s primary goal is to assist in voluntary compliance with the code provisions, however if compliance is not achieved the City does pursue its available legal remedies.
