There are four Equestrian Overlay Districts in the City delineated on the City’s Zoning map. These districts are located in four distinct areas of the City: Portuguese Bend, Palos Verdes Drive East, Ridgecrest and Via Campesina.

•Chapter 17.46 of the City’s Municipal Code allows the keeping of horses and other “large domestic animals” (goats and sheep) within the four Equestrian Overlay Districts. The Chapter also establishes the regulations for how many animals can be kept on a property, how the animals are to be kept and the process for obtaining animal keeping permits.
