RESIDENTIAL STREETS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FISCAL YEAR 2009-2010 AREA 4 AND AREA 8

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The work generally consists providing traffic control, construction survey, removal and replacement of  damaged sidewalks, curb & gutter and cross gutters which have been displaced by parkway tree roots or other damage, construction of PCC access ramp, roadway rehabilitation consisting of saw cutting and removal of failing asphalt concrete and base material and replacement with deep lift asphalt concrete, crack routing and sealing, application of Cape Seal, chip seal, and slurry seal, adjustment of surface utilities to finish grade, repainting of existing home address numbers on curbs and pavement, replacement of damaged/faded traffic and street signs, replacement of existing pavement striping and markings with thermoplastic, and placement of raised pavement markers.
