Shakespeare by the Sea on July 5th in Rancho Palos Verdes

The classic Shakespearean comedy, As You Like It is being presented by Shakespeare by the Sea on July 5th in Rancho Palos Verdes.  All the world’s a stage, and this year, that stage is at Hesse Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.  This play will be performed in the City one time and one time only this year - outside at Hesse Park at 7pm.  What starts out wrong, love will turn right in this wicked and wild tale of love conquering all.

Shakespeare by the Sea is FREE – no tickets will be sold and there is no reserved seating. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. Beach chairs, blankets and warm layered clothing are recommended. Picnics are welcome.  Hesse Park is located at 29301 Hawthorne Boulevard.  So don’t be bored, be Bard, and come enjoy an outdoor evening at the theater.

Shakespeare by the Sea is a free summer theatre festival. Modeled after festivals all over the United States, Shakespeare by the Sea is dedicated to building a quality Shakespearean festival that not only entertains but exposes new audiences to theatre as well.  Over the last eight years, Shakespeare by the Sea has become much more than a festival. For families it has become an annual outing, for the actors it's a chance to perform in front of thousands of people, for volunteers it's an avenue for giving back to the community and for meeting great new people.

Shakespeare by the Sea is currently playing As You Like It and Love’s Labour’s Lost in repertory at Point Fermin Park in San Pedro before taking their shows on the road to a number of South Bay and Los Angeles locations.
