Saturday, January 26, 2002 at 5:45 p.m. in a private home ANNUAL CONCERT SERIES BENEFIT RECITAL
Cheryl Anne Roach performs widely in recital and oratorio work and is the founder of the acclaimed professional vocal ensemble, Zephyr: Voices Unbound. She holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Arts from USC and the Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Illinois. Patricia West Harpole has performed internationally with her brother, operatic bass-baritone Stephen West, and with him received an Outstanding Accompanist Award at the 7th International Tchaikovsky Competition. She studied piano at UCLA with Johana Harris, and vocal accompanying with Gwendolyn Koldofsky and Jean Barr at USC, and holds a Ph.D. in Music Education/Ethnomusicology from UCLA. Minister of Music, organist, choirmaster, and resident composer at Central Lutheran Church, Minneapolis, Mark Sedio also serves on the music staff at Luther Seminary in Saint Paul. He has toured the United States and Europe as recitalist and presenter of hymn festivals, and his hymns and psalm settings have been included in several denominational hymnals. Freewill donation.
