DC Cherry BlossomsDuring spring break 2005, Barbara took her exchange student "daughter" Dubravka Milutinovic to Washington, D.C.  They are shown here in front of our Nation's Capitol Building and under the cherry blossoms.
Barbara attended the inauguration of the President in January 2005 and talked with Congressman Dana Rohrbacher in his office.

Operation Shoebox
Barbara and her Peninsula High students organized Operation Shoebox to send small boxes of treats and toiletries to the Marines of the 1st LAR Battalion during the the Spring of 2003. Shown here at the post office with two of her major helpers, Samantha and Shelli.
Sheriffs Deputies
Barbara opposed deleting funding for the 3rd CORE Deputy and celebrated the reinstatement of the program with Captain Jay Zuanich (second from left) and several of the CORE deputies at a station barbeque.
Quilting
Barbara helped out making quilts at St. Peter's By-The-Sea Presbyterian Church during Mission Impact Week 03.
Landfill
As Mayor Pro-Tem, Barbara was an Alternate Director of the Sanitation District Board.  (Shown here on a tour of the Puente Hills Landfill with other directors.)
The Sanitation District's boat, The Ocean Sentinel, was the site for a gathering of directors off the Palos Verdes coast line.
