How the Airplane flies........

The speed of the airplane is supplied by the motor and propeller in the same way that the propeller on a boat moves the boat through the water. As long as the motor turns the propeller, the airplane will be pulled through the air. The forward speed of the airplane causes the air to flow around the wings producing a lift. When the lift is greater than the weight of the airplane the airplane will rise. The higher the speed the higher the lift.

  • The higher the speed, the greater the lift ... Right?
  • The propeller pulls the airplane through the air.....Right?
  • The airplane propeller is like a boat propeller...........Right?
