November is now designated as NATIONAL WRITING MONTH so please plan to attend the Surfwriters' meeting this month.

No speaker is schedule – rather we'll use the time to network and discuss what we are presently writing or intending to write.  And if you'd like, you can read aloud any of your work for Surfwriters' comments.  (Refreshments will be available.)

Surfwriters member, Jean Alden, will be performing in and directing the play, Washington Loves by Miro Gavran – an internationally known Croatian Playwright. The performance will be from 11 am - noon. Prior to that, focus will be on Surfwriters recent writings with readings and comments by members.

Surfwriters November speaker is Craig MacDonald.  MacDonald will speak on the Joy of Writing.  He has interviewed the likes of John Updike, George Plimpton and John Jakes and will share great tips he's received from these best-selling wordsmiths. MacDonald is a Pulitzer Prize nominee who has written 17 books on the West, as well as, numerous magazine articles, newspaper stories and serials. In addition, he will autograph his lastest work, OLD WEST CHRISTMAS-TALES WITH A TWIST, which took 40 years to write.
